Enter the Chili Cook-Off!

The weekend of November 8, Grey Hawk Bar & Gardens is hosting the first annual Grey Hawk Chili & Beer Festival, a celebration of chillier weather, chili the true food, and the beauty of beer and community! There will be beer tasting tents (including special guests from Birdsong Brewing, Fonta Flora Brewery, Hi-Wire Brewing, Whistle Hop Brewing Company, and Wicked Weed Brewing), live music all day long, craft vendors, and a great menu of food and drinks.

One of the centerpieces of the festival is our CHILI COOK-OFF – and we’re looking for participants! Please sign up by filling out the form on this page.

Participants will create their own chili (at home) and bring it in for judging by festival-goers. At the end of the festival, we’ll count up the votes, and the winner will receive a grand prize $100 gift card to Grey Hawk!

Here’s the fine print:

  • Entrants must arrive and be set up with their chili in a crock-pot or slow cooker and ladle (bring your own from home) at 11:45 at Grey Hawk.

  • You can make whatever kind of chili you’d like – but please do bring a list of ingredients so guests can be aware of food allergies.

  • No need to bring bowls, spoons, napkins, etc – we’ve got you covered! We’ll also have an extension cord with power available.

  • Voting will be open until the chili runs out! There’s no minimum on how much chili you bring – but the more you have, the more chances for folks to taste yours and vote! Winners will be announced the evening of Saturday, November 8.

  • Whoever receives the most votes will win the $100 gift certificate grand prize.

  • We’ll ask you to fill out a waiver of liability for participating, and we’ll also have festival-goers fill out a waiver before participating in the tasting.
