RSVP: Mother Mae Hawk at Grey Hawk Festival

The day before Mother’s Day – on May 9, 2026 – join us for a brand-new family-friendly event celebrating the return of the warm season and the values of community, kindness, and compassion. There is NO cost to attend this event. Here’s what to expect!

  • The event will feature a live storytime-style readings of Grey Hawk’s Children’s Book, “The Legend of Mother Mae Hawk.”

  • We’ll unveil a newly constructed giant rustic wooden bird statue, which guests will be invited to decorate with flowers, foliage, streamers, vines, and more over the course of the day.

  • Live music from three local music groups: Sideways Sunday (10am-1pm), Owen Walsh (1:30-4:30pm), and Dale Brittain & Randy Saxon (5:30-8:30pm). 

  • Free crafts that are fun for the whole family.

  • Art and craft vendors, featuring items like succulents, jewelry, pottery, soaps, and more!

  • Delicious festival-style food.

  • Beautiful , themedcraft cocktails, beer, wine, mocktails, sodas, and juices

  • Lawn games, board games, and plenty of space for kids to play
