Your Guide to Easter Weekend at Grey Hawk!

Here's a quick orientation with what you need to know about Grey Hawk Bar & Gardens’ GREAT EGG HUNT FESTIVAL and this weekend overall:

Schedule & Timing:

  • The Great Egg Hunt Festival on Sunday, April 20 will run from 10:00am – 4:00pm. We’ll have food, drinks, gift/craft vendors, free kids’ crafts, lawn games, a fun photo backdrop so you can take pictures (BYO phone/camera!) and more available all day long.

  • There is no admission fee or cost to attend, or to participate in activities like the egg hunt, craft stations, photo station, etc. Of course, food and drinks will be available for purchase, and the craft vendors have some amazing items for sale as well.

  • We’ll have picnic-style festival food (think: food truck vibes) available to order from an order counter on the Grey Hawk deck. There will be a selection of delicious, hand-made baguette sandwiches and sides, fashioned so that we can keep up with the demand of what we expect will be a busy day. We’ve also got some great drinks – themed cocktails, beer, wine, sodas/juices, and more. You’ll order everything from this counter, receive a number, and your order will be delivered to you. We ask that you linger in the gravel courtyard so we can find you! Check out the menu here.

  • For all of your coffee and espresso and tea needs, The Hatchling Coffee House will be open 8:00am until 4:00pm. We will take ALL orders for coffees and pastries exclusively at the coffee house as usual.

  • There will be live music by Owen Walsh from 11:00am – 2:00pm. Owen is a fantastic musician and will provide a relaxing acoustic musical environment to help us all enjoy a lovely day.

  • The main event is, of course, the EGG HUNT, for kids of all ages! We’ll kick this off at 1:00pm sharp with a short speech and logistics delivered from the stage. If you have one, please bring a basket or bucket so your young people can scoop up the eggs! There will be prizes for the most eggs collected and a few other very cute categories.

  • There will be a raffle for a loaded Easter Basket to benefit Lil’s Thrift Shop, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to animal welfare and abuse prevention programs in Rutherford County. We’ll draw the raffle at 4:00pm and contact the winner by phone for pickup.

Notes on Logistics:

  • We expect this to be a well-attended event, especially in the 12:30-1:30pm hours. Consider coming on the earlier side! Grey Hawk is a lovely place to hang out for a few hours.

  • If you’re planning on participating in the 1:00pm EGG HUNT please be sure to give yourself plenty of time to find parking, get your family set up, etc. We don’t want to see any tears on Easter!

  • Please be mindful when it comes to parking and consider carpooling – please follow directions from our greeter/parking attendant, don’t park anyone in, etc. We want this to be fun and delightful for everyone.

  • There will not be table service at this event – you’ll place an order at a counter, help yourself to water, silverware, and napkins, and find a space around the property that works for y’all. We’ve got small tables, big tables, picnic tables, and more – please be mindful, and share if need be! We also strongly encourage folks to consider a picnic blanket set-up on our lawn. We’ll have some blankets, but please consider bringing your own, too!

  • Need support during the festival? Find a Grey Hawk staff member wearing sparkly bunny ears and they’ll point you in the right direction!
